Daylight: This studio has NO windows! But the photo shows a huge windowed balcony?! I know. Its a giant light box built into the wall for photo shoots. It looks and feels like sunlight streaming through the doors when it’s on, but it’s an illusion. Regardless of the actual time of day, you can control the light, easily changing the look from bright daylight to a subdued evening glow.

Giant Fabric Heart: Due to its fragile and special nature, this prop lives on top of the pictured case. If you wish to take it down and use it for your shoot, you may rent it for an additional fee of $35.

Convenience: Very conveniently located. Close to almost every subway. The A, C, E, N, R, Q, J, Z, 1 and 6 trains are all within 3 blocks.

Parking: Street parking in front of the building frees up at 6pm and 7pm. You can also find limited metered parking in the area. The nearest pay lot is on Leonard St. between Broadway and Church St. We recommend the app Parkwhiz to find deals on lot parking.

How is the sound in your space?

We have hosted many successful interviews and recordings! However this studio is not a sound stage. While normally the studio is very quiet, we cannot guarantee our neighbors will be at any time of day. Sensitive audio equipment may pick up sound from the hallways outside the space and neighboring studios, including voices, doors, and music. The most successful recordings have been those who are okay with multiple short takes.

Other Important Notes

Scheduling: Our minimum booking for productions is 2.5hrs. Shorter bookings almost always end up using additional time which incurs overtime fees. Please be sure your booking request includes enough time to load in, set up, wrap, and load out.

Glitter: Absolutely no glitter or other ground cover is allowed in the carpeted hallways outside of this studio. If your shoot involves glitter, sand, confetti, etc., please let us know so we can discuss your options. If there is any debris in the hallway after your booking, we will charge a $100 Ground Cover Cleanup Fee.
